Hi there, I am Ava
I'm a project manager and a parent, an expat living in San Antonio, United States.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually evolved into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and higher expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built GentleCovePath
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level travel content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- An official tourism resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in United States continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in San Antonio or anywhere in United States, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ava
